Revenue has recently announced payment dates for both Income Tax and Capital Acquisition Taxes.
Income Tax
For individuals in the self assessment system for income tax, if filing returns through the Revenue Online System (ROS) the extended deadline has been extended to the 14th November 2013. This includes making payments for Income Tax 2012 and Preliminary Tax 2013.
Capital Acquisition Tax
This applies to beneficiaries receiving gifts or inheritance with valuation dates in the year ended 31st August 2013. If making an appropriate payment and filing through ROS the extended deadline is 14th November 2013.
As with previous years in order to qualify for these extended deadlines customers must pay AND file through ROS. If for example an individual was to just file a return online and not make the relevant payment using ROS this must be done in both cases by the 31st October 2013.
