On Tuesday 29th April 2014, The Taoiseach, Tánaiste, Minister for Jobs and Minister for the Environment officially launched the nationwide system of Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs).
The goal of the 31 LEO’s is to be bring improved supports to startups and small business across the country. This will include more funding, additional staff and added services for these businesses.
Previously, some companies did not qualify for support e.g. if they were above a certain size. With this new system, Micro Businesses, Sole Traders, and small and medium sized business will all have access to Government support.
The Local enterprise offices will combine the expertise of Enterprise Ireland, and local authorities. The Enterprise Ireland website will be the central point of contact for all local and national enterprise supports and services.
